Dr. Catherine Wittgen provides a full spectrum of vascular interventions, including open and endovascular treatment for conditions such as carotid artery disease and aortic aneurysms. While she specializes in salvaging limbs, Dr. Wittgen also offers wound care for patients requiring amputation Dr. Wittgen is a professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is past president of the St. Louis Surgical Society. Dr. Wittgen was the first female vascular fellow to train at Harvard.
