Dr. Carl David Akin obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at St. Luke's Hospital (Kansas City). He is a fellow with the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the Metropolitan Medical Society of Kansas City, the American Medical Association, and the Missouri State Medical Association. Dr. Akin is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical lipidology and is affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center.
