Dr. Piedad is a board certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist . He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgetown University and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Piedad received his medical degree from the University of Rochester and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
He completed his residency tin internal medicine at the New York University Medical Center and his fellowship training at the New York University Medical Center for cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Piedad specializes in cardiac electrophysiology. His interests include complex arrhythmia management, pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, resynchronization devices, electrophysiologic studies and ablations for arrhythmias. He is particularly interested in ablation for atrial fibrillation.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the Cobb County Medical Society.
