Brian M. Flynn, D.O., is a board-certified neurologist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ and Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Dr. Flynn specializes in the treatment of epilepsy, including generalized epilepsy, focal epilepsy, and refractory epilepsy. Diagnostic and treatment procedures performed by Dr. Flynn include EEG and electrocorticography. For the surgical treatment of epilepsy, Dr. Flynn works with surgeons to develop the best treatment plan for his patients.
Dr. Flynn attended the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine before completing his neurology residency at Temple University Hospital. He then completed an epilepsy fellowship at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
Along with his extensive training, Dr. Flynn has co-authored curriculum for Lewis Katz School of Medicine, along with writing and peer-editing informational expositions on sleep apnea studies to make information more accessible for patients. More recently, Dr. Flynn has developed a prospective Cannabidiol (CBD) database to track clinical outcomes and adverse effects for patients prescribed CBD products for epilepsy. Dr. Flynn is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Epilepsy Society.
