He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. In addition, he has successfully completed The Wharton School, Executive Management Program, in 1996 and 2000.Dr. Katzen is a leading force in laser vision correction. As a dedicated surgeon, he is devoted to the treatment of nearsightedness and farsightedness. He has been acknowledged for achievements in developing a specialized surgical instrument called the “Katzen Flap Unzipper,” commonly used with LASIK procedures throughout the United States. In addition, he has donated his surgical expertise by teaching and performing cataract surgery in Guyana, South America, Cuba, Israel, the United States and Europe.
