I chose to be a pediatric gastroenterologist first and foremost to help kids. In nearly all instances, pediatric patients can't help that they get a belly ache, develop vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or even unintentional weight loss. Whether constant or intermittent, the signs and symptoms GI distress are real, affect a child's quality of life and can contribute to family stress and worry. I am here to help. I will advocate for your child's GI needs to keep them happy, healthy and smiling.
My approach to patient care is patient and family "centric". I spend time and listen to my family's concerns. Sometimes the answer to what is going on is in the medical history alone, and other times, an evaluation may be needed. I look at myself as a member of your child's healthcare team. Any good team has excellent communication, which is something I strive for. While under my care, I will be there to help answer questions and advocate for your child's GI health.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active and participating in outdoor activities.
