Binh Q. Nguyen, M.D. has been a Board Certified Ophthalmologist since 1994. Dr. Nguyen received his Indiana State Medical License in 1989. He graduated with his Bachelors Degree from DePauw University in 1984 and obtained his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in 1988 in Indianapolis. Dr. Nguyens Post Graduate Training was completed with a Transitional Internship at Methodist Hospital of Indiana in 1989 and an Ophthalmology Residency at Indiana University Medical Center in 1992. Since 1992 he has proudly been a Physician at Munster Eye Care Associates, P.C. Dr. Nguyen holds a professional membership with: Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology (Member); American Academy of Ophthalmology (Fellow); Indiana State Medical Association (Member); American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (Member); Asian American Medical Society (Board of Directors); Dr. Nguyen was recognized as a leading ophthalmologist according to the Patients Top Choice Award and Americas Top Ophthalmologist Award. Dr. Nguyen is affiliated with Munster Community Hospital and St. Catherine Hospital, as well as active status at Munster Same Day Surgery Center and Community Surgery Center. He has been quoted in Vitreous Contains a Cartilage Related Protein, Vol. 33, 375-382 and An Evaluation of Calvarial and Iliac Donor Sites in Alveolar Cleft Grafting Vol. 27, No. 3, 225-228, presented at the 42nd Annual Meeting of American Cleft Palate Association, May 1985 and entered in the Cleft Palate Journal in July 1990. He has presented at the Indiana University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology , A Cycloplegic View of Corneal Topography in June of 1992 and A Review of Endophthalmitis Following Cataract Surgery in June of 1991. Dr. Nguyen resides in Schererville, Indiana and speaks fluent English and Vietnamese. Born in Sai-Gon Vietnam in 1962, he obtained his U.S.Citizenship in 1981 and has been an active member of Northwest Indiana and the Greater Chicagoland Area for over 20 years.
