Benjamin Greif, M.D., is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with OU Health Physicians. Dr. Greif earned his medical degree from Florida State University, where he earned a Founder's Scholarship, before completing residency at the University of Oklahoma, where he was appointed Administrative Chief Resident. He continued his education as a fellow at the Geisinger Medical Center Department of Vascular Surgery. During his residency, Dr. Greif was given the Chairman's Award for outstanding performance on the American Board of Surgery In-Training Exam. He currently serves as a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Greif stands out from his peers with his unique background and honors. He served in the United States Army from 2017-2021 as a general and expeditionary surgeon and was given numerous awards while doing so, such as the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Dr. Greif may not be native to Oklahoma but now considers it home and is bought into its bright future. He sees vascular surgery as a uniquely evolving field that allows him to improve the lives of some of the sickest patients. He sees that all his patients are treated with dignity and respect, and endeavors to give them the most compassionate care possible.
