Arnold H. Herman, MD has been practicing general surgery and breast surgery at Women & Infants Hospital since 1976. He started the first dedicated breast center in Rhode Island in 1985 and now works with the breast cancer team at the Program in Women's Oncology Breast Health Center. He is past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He surveys cancer programs at hospitals for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. When not helping his patients, he enjoys carpentry, reading, photography, and playing with his grandchildren.
