Previously, Dr. Patel worked as a pediatric hospitalist providing services for more than four years at Childrens satellite neonatal intensive care unit at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, Calif. During this time, she also worked as a staff physician providing primary care for pediatric and adult populations at Golden Valley Health Centers in Los Banos, Calif. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree in India. She completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Penn. She did a fellowship in neonatology at the Womens and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo, in Buffalo, N.Y. She has presented across the country on topics in her field.
