Anne M. Rich, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Huntsman Cancer Institute investigator.
She is a psychiatrist specializing in psycho-oncology or patients with cancer who also suffer from depression, anxiety, or other distress. Her research interests include the association between depression and breast cancer.
Rich received her BS and MD degrees from the University of Rochester in New York and completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Utah. She completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she also served as chief resident. In addition, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at the University of Washington.
