Dr. Krishnan joined the Division of Cardiology in October 2009. She recently completed a fourth year cardiac imaging fellowship at Children's. Her residency and fellowship training were also at Children's. She has experience in all aspects of echocardiography, including transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal imaging. Her research areas of interest have been neurodevelopmental outcomes of neonates with congenital heart defects, fetal arrhythmias associated with maternal diabetes, and the fetal effects of maternal connective tissue disease. She has spent time at the National Heart, Lung, And Blood Institute investigating early human and mouse cardiac development using novel high resolution imaging techniques. Dr. Krishnan is a native of Maryland, and lives in Rockville with her family, including a busy toddler.
