Dr. Peretz is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Spinal Surgery. In 1997, Dr. Peretz joined Somers Orthopaedic Surgery Group where he treats spinal disorders in both adults and pediatric patients. His current hospital affiliations include Putnam Hospital Center, where he is the Director of the Spinal Institute and also serves as Chairman of the Dept. of Orthopaedic Surgery, Northern Westchester Hospital Center, and NYU School of Medicine/Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopaedic Institute, where he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Peretz received his degree in chemistry from Princeton University and then earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.
Dr. Peretz then completed his fellowship in spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Peretz is currently a member of North American Spine Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Medical Society of New York State, the Medical Society of Westchester County, and the American Medical Association and is the co-author of several publications and research articles involving the spine.
