He received the distinguished House Staff Award for exemplary all around service at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, he has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented on multiple topics relating to his specialty. Dr. Orjuela is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the honor societies of Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. He is married to Damaris Miranda, M.D., an OB-GYN physician in private practice at South Miami Hospital.
