DR. AMY DAVIDIAN, DDS
Dr. Amy Davidian grew up in Durham, North Carolina. In 1999, she graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her junior year, she was inducted in to Phi-Beta Kappa. While at UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Davidian was an active member of the Carolina Indian Circle, was President of the local chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and a member of Delta-Delta-Sigma, UNC's pre-dental fraternity. In the SMART Program, she served as a tutor and mentor for undergraduate students who planned to pursue health related studies.
In 2003, Dr. Davidian graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery. During dental school, she received the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship, the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship, and was a finalist for the Dental Alumni Foundation Award. She was a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, and the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Davidian served as a Graduate Advisor, participated in Operation Smile, worked as a dental provider for Student Health Action Clinic, and served as a community partner for the ARC of Chapel Hill. In the Headstart program of N.C., she taught oral health care to preschool children. Dr. Davidian has a special interest in dental missions work and had the opportunity to work with teams in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
Following dental school, Dr. Davidian was accepted for specialty training at The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This two-year residency program enabled her to pursue her interest in pediatric dentistry. She gained valuable experience and knowledge in oral/conscious sedation, pediatric dental trauma, and special needs dentistry within a unique hospital environment. While in Denver, she volunteered to speak to new mothers in the community about infant oral care. As part of her training, Dr. Davidian completed research regarding treatment options for a common problem facing dentists in the specialty of pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Davidian is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, The North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Amy will be celebrating her two year wedding anniversary soon. Although she temporarily left North Carolina to be with her husband in Ohio while he completed his residency, they have now returned to North Carolina. We are honored that she has began working with us again on a full time basis.
