Brief Intro

Connecting with my patients and their families is the greatest joy I find in my work. My role as a physician carries an important responsibility for the life and health of my patients. Therefore, I strive to practice with an emphasis on professionalism, knowledge and empathy. I strongly believe that in-depth understanding of their medical conditions, allows families to participate in shared decision making, achieving together the appropriate management for their child. I am a pediatric cardiologist taking care of patients ranging from infants to teenagers, and in some cases young adults (20’s), with a wide variety of heart conditions. I have a special interest, training and established experience in caring for pediatric patients with heart failure and cardiomyopathies. These include congenital, genetic, metabolic, oncologic, neuromuscular and inflammatory heart muscle disorders. I am board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. Throughout my years of training and work, I have studied and explored the development, physiology and genetics of the normal and the diseased heart. I have led and participated in various research projects and published original papers, both in basic science as well as in clinical research. I earned my medical degree at the Rappaport (Technion) Faculty of Medicine in Israel, trained in pediatrics at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel and completed residency in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. I completed fellowship and advanced research training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. I performed cardiovascular research at the Technion, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Drexel University, and Temple University.
