Brief Intro

Dr. Annabi specializes in providing patients with the optimal non-operative care for their musculoskeletal injuries particularly pain and injury of the spine. His focus is on treatments to address the underlying biomechanics, improve function and lifestyle and control pain. Dr. Annabi received his medical degree from New York University. He completed his internship in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian Cornell which included rotations in Neurosurgery where he assisted in minimally invasive spine surgery. This was followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation at New York Presbyterian Columbia/Cornell. Dr. Annabi completed a post-graduate fellowship in Spine and Sports Medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery. His training focused on non-surgical treatment of joint injuries and back pain including the use of precision fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections. His research focus while at HSS involved investigating the development and use of regenerative treatments for degenerative conditions of the tendons, joints and spine such as the use of Platelet enriched plasma (PRP) and Growth Factors. Dr. Annabi has been involved as a medical volunteer providing coverage for the New York City Marathon as well as high school and collegiate sports team coverage. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
