Dr. Amber Malhotra is a cardiothoracic surgeon with an interest in heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, mitral valve repair aortic and tricuspid valve repair, beating heart (off-pump) total arterial bypass surgery (CABG), aortic aneurysm surgery and Ross procedure.Dr. Malhotra has more than 20 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery. He completed Fellowships in advanced adult cardiac surgery and heart and lung transplantation at the Cleveland clinic. He is a Fellow of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the Indian Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery by the Medical Council of India.His academic contributions include over 125 peer-reviewed research publications, conference presentations, and abstracts. In addition, Dr. Malhotra is Section Editor for Heart and Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support of the Indian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Additionally, he is a respected peer reviewer for many leading cardiothoracic surgery journals. Currently, he is the Chief of Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple and a Clinical Professor in Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine.In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and music.
