Allison Boden, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon at the University of Louisville. She treats conditions ranging from sports-related injuries to degenerative foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Boden completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Pomona College where she was on the varsity softball team as well as founding-member and 3-year team captain of the inaugural varsity women’s golf team. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Boden completed her orthopedic training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital residency program. Throughout her residency, she served on the Resident Education Committee, the Residency Application Review Committee, and the Orthopaedic Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She was voted by her peers to be the Academic Chief Resident for her PGY4 and PGY5 years. In 2022, Dr. Boden was nominated to attend the C. McCollister Evarts Resident Leadership Forum. She won the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award in 2022 and the Outstanding Senior Resident of the Year Award in 2023. Following residency, Dr. Boden completed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Boden is the author of over 30 peer reviewed articles, book chapters and presentations. She is a reviewer for multiple foot and ankle journals. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Eastern Orthopedics Association (EOA) and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) where she currently serves on the Women’s Leadership Committee.
