Dr Alex Befeler treats patients for autoimmune liver disease, liver cancer, complications of cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He sees patients before and after liver transplantation and serves as the medical director of liver transplantation. In his practice, he uses the latest treatment options, including sorafenib therapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. His research interests include liver cancer markers and treatment, and hepatitis C treatment before and after liver transplantation.
