Aleksandar L. Krunic, M.D., Ph.D. earned his medical degree at University of Belgrade, Serbia in 1988. He completed his Dermatology Residency at University of Chicago in 2003,and one-year Mohs Surgery Fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He also trained at Duke University Medical Center, where he completed a 2-year Dermatologic Surgery/Laser Dermatology fellowship in 1997. Before relocating to United States Dr Krunic obtained his Ph.D. in Cutaneous Oncology at St John's Institute of Dermatology in London, UK, and served as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University Of Belgrade School Of Medicine. Dr Krunic is Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at University of Illinois College of Medicine, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs surgery, and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. Dr Krunic is also licensed Dermatologist in England, Italy and his home country Serbia. Dr Krunic is author and coauthor in many peer-reviewed publications from the topic of skin cancer, skin reconstruction, general dermatology, sexually transmitted diseases and dermatologic therapy. He is currently affiliated with the following hospitals: Northwestern Memorial Hospital, University of Illinois Hospital, Swedish Covenant Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital and St Joseph Hospital.
