Alan L. Mazer, D.M.D.
Dr. Mazer is a native New Yorker, growing up in Merrick and living in Stony Brook for the past 33 years. He graduated from Lehigh University and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972. He did a two year residency in General Dentistry while stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Dr. Mazer is an attending doctor in St. Charles Hospital’s Residency program and Bellhaven Nursing Home. He has been practicing in Port Jefferson Station for over 35 years.
Extensively involved with organized dentistry, Dr. Mazer was president of the Suffolk County Dental Society, former Governor of the NY State Dental Association, and a former Delegate to the American Dental Association. Presently he is Chairman of the New York State Dental Association’s Council on Governmental Affairs. He is also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists. He has dedicated his career to caring for and educating his patients about the importance of good dental health.
Dr Mazer has been married for 42 years to his high school sweetheart.
