Educated in Copenhagen, he later moved to the United States, and after several years of general surgery decided to make vascular surgery the focus of his career. Since then, he has been serving patients with a variety of needs and goals in his Tacoma practice, Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center, and has performed more than 3000 vein ablation procedures. Dr. Nordestgaard is board-certified in phlebology. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the American College of Surgery, the Washington State Medical Association, and many other organizations, both in the US and in Denmark. As a highly respected Tacoma vein doctor, Dr. Nordestgaard has published many scientific articles, including book chapters on varicose veins and vascular surgery. He has also given scientific presentations, nationally and internationally, on both general and vascular surgery.
