Dr. Ahmed Ali is a board-certified and fellowship-trained general, minimally invasive and bariatric surgeon who earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Case Western University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Ali then completed his bariatric and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Dr. Ali’s clinical interests include bariatric surgery, revisional bariatrics, obesity, endoscopy, benign foregut disease, endobariatrics and minimally invasive hernia repairs. His professional affiliations include the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) where he has served on multiple committees.
