Dr. Cheema earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical Center and Cornell University, NY. He then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nutrition, Therapeutic Endoscopy, and Endoscopic Ultrasound at Loyola University Chicago, IL.
He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition and his clinical interests include the treatment of Acid reflux, Constipation, Hemorrhoids, and Small Bowel Imaging. As a Fellow AGA, he trained in General GI, Hepatology, Nutrition, ERCP, and Endoscopic Ultrasound.
He has been in practice in the Quad Cities and Clinton for over 11 years. In addition to English, he is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.
Dr. Cheema is married and has four children.
