Dr. Savera joined PLUS Diagnostics in April 2010. Prior to PLUS, Dr. Savera served as the Medical Director and Chief GU Pathologist at LabMD, Inc based in Atlanta. Previously he has been an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University and held a staff position for 8 years at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. There he also served as the Associate Director of pathology residency program and GU pathologist for their world renowned Vattikuti Urology Institute. He has participated in numerous NIH funded research grants, consistently presented at national and international meetings and has authored more than 70 articles and abstracts related to head & neck and urologic cancers, particularly prostate cancer. Dr. Savera completed his pathology residency at Henry Ford Hospital followed by an oncologic pathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He received his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He is board certified in anatomic pathology.
