Epilepsy is a complex disease which not only impacts patients but also their families and friends. I believe that the best approach to management should not only focus on seizure control but also improve the overall quality of life. I include the patient in exploring the available options of management including medications and non-pharmaceutical options (ex: diet, surgery etc.) as needed and help them make informed decisions regarding their care.
