Rather than simply treating a symptom or a disease, Dr. Hanna-Moussa cares for the whole patient. Board certified Endocrinology; he specializes in treating issues related to the thyroid and pituitary, as well as diabetes and osteoporosis. Dr. Hanna-Moussa received his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria and came to the United States to complete his medical training, serving as an intern at St. Francis Hospital of Evanston, Ill. He was named Chief Medical Resident in the internal medicine residency program at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Mich. where he was recognized as "Resident of the Year." Dr. Hanna-Moussa completed his fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. While in Battle Creek, Mich., he also received a Congressional Recognition Award for "Outstanding Volunteer for the Indigent Population."
