Dr. BHUPINDER SINGH MD is a BOARD CERTIFIED CARDIOLOGIST
Dr. Bhupinder Singh was born in India. He was teaching business administration and statistics at Delhi University when his father had two heart attacks and underwent coronary angiogram in Delhi. He accompanied his father to the US for his open-heart surgery at the Texas Medical Center in 1988. He was very intimately involved in taking care of his father who did not speak fluent English.
He was so fascinated by medicine and cardiology that he decided to change his career from business to medicine. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland in 1995, followed by Doctor of Medicine at the University of Virginia in 1999. He trained in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic from 1999 to 2002. He then worked as a Hospitalist at the Cleveland Clinic for a year and continued his research in cardiology. Subsequently, he decided to pursue his passion in cardiology at the University of Connecticut, Hartford Hospital where he trained first in cardiovascular disease followed by interventional cardiology.
Dr. Singh is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular ultrasound. His special interests include Peripheral Arterial Disease, Limb Salvage, and Venous Disease. Dr. Singh is affiliated with Medical City Plano, Medical City Frisco, Medical City Mckinney, The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Plano, Baylor Scott & White Centennial Medical Center and the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.
